At 1600x1200 128.7 FPS with 4x antialiasing, HDR lighting, and triliniar whatever, I can totally tell Alyx thinks I'm hot.

HL2: EP1 is a lot funnier then the first one. Having a travelling companion longer then Barney the Supercop (or mediocorecop, as it were) is just great. For example, after clearing a garage full of zombies and headcrabs, I turned off the flashlight to recharge it. Suddenly, I hear the groaning of a zombie! I flick the light back on to get a bead, and it's... Alyx, just fucking around with me. How cool is that?!
