Collection: Doug Smith

Doug Smith is originally from Ogden, Utah and is currently based in Salt Lake City. He creates modern and abstract encaustic and acrylic artwork using beeswax, natural resin, pigment, and flame. His work is inspired by weathered surfaces, architecture, nature, and the overlooked marks and textures found in everyday surroundings. When he’s not creating, you can find him hiking, scuba diving, gardening, or collecting rusty, worn, and unusual objects that often find their way back into his work.
