Tausha Schumann is originally from Lewiston, Utah and is currently based in Wellsville, Utah. She creates oil paintings with visible texture from palette knives and brushwork, often depicting simplified temples surrounded by the landscapes that reflect the peace and focus she associates with these sacred spaces. Her work highlights the connection between architecture and nature, allowing the surrounding landscape to become part of the story and feeling of each piece. Some of her obsessions included figure skating, hula hooping, and collecting piggy banks designed to be opened only by smashing them.
