Mandy Begg is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and is currently based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is a fiber artist who creates detailed wool “paintings” using needle felting, a process that binds fine fibers into richly textured images. Her work is inspired by a sense of worship and wonder, drawing on the beauty of the natural world using wool to echo the textures found in nature. When she’s not creating, she can be found dreaming about vintage VW buses, imagining life in both forests and cities, or dancing to disco music in her kitchen.
