Collection: Joe Adams & Brian Kershisnik

Almost 30 years ago, Brian Kershisnik began a side project collaborating with Joe Adams, an artist a few years younger who lives with Down syndrome. Their partnership has produced hundreds of works, multiple exhibitions, and several short documentaries, and they have recently returned to a regular and active rhythm of creating together. Joe begins each piece with bold, dark drawings in wax, while Brian builds on top with layered color washes, shaping and completing the work through a steady, collaborative process.
