Frida Kahlo lived a life filled with pain, accidents, illness, and heartbreak, yet she turned that hardship into paintings that spoke with honesty and courage. Instead of hiding her struggles, she placed them on the canvas the way someone writes in a diary. Each brushstroke became a sentence about what it feels like to be alive. This painting honors that spirit. Like Frida, I paint when life is difficult. The brush becomes a way to sort through emotions, to record the good and the hard, and to leave nothing hidden. What appears on the canvas is not just an image, but a life being worked through in color and paint. In that way, every stroke becomes part of a living journal.
