Jeanette Lukens will guide you through the art of woodblock printmaking. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll design, carve, and print your own small woodblock image using both traditional tools and a tabletop printing press.
Here’s what to expect:
• Start by sketching your design and transferring it onto a 3” x 4” woodblock. • Learn carving techniques to bring your design to life. • Experiment with printing your block by hand or using the press to create multiple prints. • Take home your carved block and several prints with the option to exchange with fellow students for a mini print collection!
All materials are provided, with optional add-ons available for those who’d like to continue printmaking at home.
