Ranunculus in My Pocket, Peace in My Ear, and a Dove in My Heart

What does one hold in one’s heart?

Pain and Regret? OR, optimism and faith?

I love this quote from Gordon B. Hinckley, “Do not despair. Do not give up. Look for the sunlight through the clouds.”

I wanted to paint a painting to emphasize that “Women Holding Things” is our collective focus on sharing positive sunlight and good and beauty in our world and our circles of influence. These principles are embedded in my title and subtitles embedded within: “Ranunculus in My Pocket” (keeping beauty close to ones heart and in ones hand), “Peace in My Ear” (listening to truth and wisdom), “And a Dove in My Heart” (truly being at peace).
