The Pack We Carry

This work is about the invisible weight women carry every day. I use the image of the mountain to show what it’s like to navigate life with while lugging around a pack of heavy rocks. These stones represent the practical everyday burdens-the mental load of a household, the pressure to preform at work, emotional pain, sickness, and the constant need to take care of everyone else.

When you look back from the top, you see the messy steep trail you just conquered. At this

height those rocks aren’t just dead weight, they are proof of the work it took to get here. The

effort of hauling that pack is what built the grit needed to reach the summit.

My art focuses on that moment of clarity snd strength, at the peak. It’s not about the weight itself, but that fact you never stopped moving. It’s a tribute to the power found in the struggle and the steady determination it takes to keep going.
