I knew from the moment I heard the theme of this show exactly what story I wanted to share, as it is one I’ve longed to paint. This piece portrays a woman who once moved through life fiercely independent, determined to find her own way. Over time, through life’s many lessons, she discovers that while independence can bring strength, it does not always bring the deep connection the heart longs for.
In choosing to soften, she lowers the walls she once held firmly and chooses to love and be loved. Holding her lamb, she carries a quiet knowing within her that at her core, she is love.
