Women Holding the Wounds of the World

What brings me comfort in the face of suffering that seems to be everywhere and all at once? The Jewish concept: tikkun olam.

Tikkun olam recognizes that the world is full of brokenness, and it also acknowledges that humans can participate in small acts of repair that bring newness and wholeness to what was once broken.

I picture the hearts and hands of women extending—extending in love, in prayer, in hope, in service, in mourning, in mending—across the broken world, holding humanity together as it slowly heals.
