Balance

On a beautiful mountain peak, on the tip top, a creature of rare beauty resides. She knows this place for she has been an integral part of the layers and the building of it. She knows its structure, that the base is strong and firm and willing to hold what is added upon. She sees what grows, blossoms, dies and repeats in seasons that are unpredictable but necessary for life.

She knows the voices that call. The thunder and the whispers. She listens intentionally. She knows the laughter that echos, the peace that is still and the wind softly moving under her wings.

She answers with her song and comes to you.

She holds the BALANCE that gives way for you to become. She holds the BALANCE unseen but present. She holds a place for you where you are and where you are going. She sees you but often is not seen, adjusting and reaching for the good of another.

She holds the warmth of the sun, then shares it.

She holds the memories and keeps them safe.

She holds the dreams, your dreams, then cheers and walks beside you.

Holding things, your things, my things, her things, all the things. The things that are significant. The little things. She holds them. She loves them, all the while, keeping BALANCE of our things.

She is woven in our stories and in the layers that build mountains. Her wings carry and lift us to the clouds, to share a space in the dampness of our tears and the weightlessness of our love. She is the giver of the holding.
